No, it does not. The windblocker attaches onto the back of the roll hoops only. I do not know of any other windblocker for the earlier model BMW Z3s that do not have the roll hoops.
No, they do not. The winglets are attached with a specialty tension hinge that can be adjusted with a simple Philips screw driver over the full range from very loose to absolutely stiff. The hinges are adjusted to be stiff enough to block wind buffeting when deployed, and soft enough to be folded inwards when putting the top up.
Can I put the top up with your windblocker in place?
Yes. You can put up the top with the windblocker in place.
A windblocker prevents turbulence in the cockpit. When driving with the top down, a low pressure area is created inside the cockpit, with a high pressure area outside the car. The wind tries to equalize, moving wind from the rear of the car to the front. That's why you always see passenger's hair blowing forward, not backward, when driving with the top down.
What is your windblocker made of?
My windblocker is made of 1/4 inch abrasion resistant Lexan. This material is virtually indestructible. Also, the 1/4 inch thickness is very rigid, so there is no wobbling, oscillations, or vibrating.
Is there glare on the windblocker?
No, there is not. The windblocker is also available in tinted colors as well.
Where can I store the windblocker when not in use?
The windblocker fits neatly in the trunk. The windblocker comes with a protective satchel to store and protect while storing in the trunk. For convenience, I leave mine on full time 6 months of the year when I'm driving my during the sunny weather, and then take it off in winter.
What are the different types of windblockers available?
Generally, there are three types of windblockers. The first type are soft mesh types which fit over the seats. The second type are hard acrylic types like mine. The third type are rigid mesh types that fit within a frame.

What should I clean the windblocker with?
Use plastic cleaners, such as Meguire's #17 and #18, or soap and water. Do not use window cleaners or ammonia based cleaners.
How long does it take to install?
About 2-3 minutes. The straps are secure and easy to use.
How fast can I drive with your windblocker in place?
Well, I've driven up to 110 mph without any rattling or noises. I get stories from other owners who have taken their own car past this!
